چکیده

In order to meet the challenges brought by high penetration of intermittent and fluctuating wind solar power, a short-term optimal scheduling model for wind-solar-hydro hybrid generation system with cascade hydropower is established objective minimizing amount abandoned wind, hydro power maximizing stored energy stations. Cascade considered provide spinning reserve regulation ensure security system. Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) method used schedule The case studies show that are beneficial system, verify practical applicability proposed model.

Price-based adaptive spinning reserve requirements in power system scheduling

In a deregulated electricity market such as the California WEPEX, spinning reserves must be explicitly identified as an ancillary service and priced. Additionally, scheduling coordinators who match suppliers and demands may either self-provide spinning reserves, or rely on the Independent System Operator (ISO) to provide reserves at the spot price. The deregulated market structure makes explici...

Stochastic Short-Term Hydro-Thermal Scheduling Based on Mixed Integer Programming with Volatile Wind Power Generation

This study addresses a stochastic structure for generation companies (GenCoʼs) that participate in hydro-thermal self-scheduling with a wind power plant on short-term scheduling for simultaneous reserve energy and energy market. In stochastic scheduling of HTSS with a wind power plant, in addition to various types of uncertainties such as energy price, spinning /non-spinning reserve prices, unc...

Long Term Coordinated Generation and Transmission Maintenance Scheduling Considering Network Constraints and System Reserve

Generation or transmission maintenance scheduling packages provide preventive or corrective maintenance scheduling over a certain period in order to minimize system costs while fulfilling relative requirements. In advanced power systems inclusion of network constraints and increasing rate of electricity demand may result in higher number of generators and transmission lines and hence lower syst...

Solving Multiple Fuels Dynamic Environmental/Economic Dispatch Problem and Incentive Based Demand Response Considering Spinning Reserve Requirements

In this paper a new integrated model of the dynamic environmental/economic dispatch (DEED) problem and emergency demand response program (EDRP) has been presented by which their interactions are investigated. DEED schedules the online generators power output over the whole dispatch period subject to some practical constraints so that the fuel costs and emission are optimized simultaneously. EDR...

Optimal Bidding Strategies of GENCOs in Day-Ahead Energy and Spinning Reserve Markets Based on Hybrid GA-Heuristic Optimization Algorithm

In an electricity market, every generation company (GENCO) attempts to maximize profit according to other participants bidding behaviors and power systems operating conditions. The goal of this study is to examine the optimal bidding strategy problem for GENCOs in energy and spinning reserve markets based on a hybrid GA-heuristic optimization algorithm. The heuristic optimization algorithm used...
